History & Artisans

This lampshade is woven by artisan families from Michoacán who work with fibers such as tule (bulrush) and chuspata, aquatic plants obtained from the region's lakes. The tule is collected, sun-dried, and moistened before weaving to regain flexibility.

Circular life cycle
