History & Artisans

This basket is woven by artisan families from Michoacán, Mexico, who work with fibers such as bulrush and chuspata, aquatic plants obtained from the region's lakes. The bulrush is sun-dried and moistened before weaving to regain flexibility. Each piece is carefully handcrafted, preserving traditional weaving techniques and the unique character of natural fibers.

Care instructions
  • Remove dust with a dry cloth, duster, or soft brush.
  • Avoid constant humidity and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • If used as a planter, place a saucer or inner protector to avoid direct moisture on the fiber.
Circular life cycle

Bulrush is a natural and biodegradable plant fiber that can be composted at the end of its useful life. By choosing pieces made with natural fibers and artisanal processes, you support more conscious, durable, and responsible consumption.
